Team Zooka

Zooka is a Franco-British agency created in 2018 by Paul Evans and Simon White. With senior consultants, our qualitative and quantitative approach is recognised for results.

Paul Evans

CEO Founder / Expert CRO* & SXO,

Paul Evans was born in England and when he fell in love with his french teacher at 16 (oh Mrs Lewis!) he decided he wanted to live in France.

After 5 years of study (Modern Languages with Geopolitics + School of Journalism) he started his career in 1998 in London, which at the time was a melting pot for all things digital.

The big break came in 2000 when he moved to Paris to join the fledgling French lastminute.com team.

6 years later, after 4 years as Head Of E-Commerce for lastminute.com France, he left to become Head of Product at Photobox.com.

In 2011 he left the rat-race to become an independant consultant specializing in SEO and CRO.

In 2018 he founded Zooka with fellow Brit Simon White.

Paul loves to suffer on his bike up and over the rolling hills of Burgundy (where he now lives) and rumour has it he possesses the largest collection of guitar effects pedals in western Europe.

Simon White

Associate Founder / Expert User eXperience Designer

Simon White is a true digital being: all web and mobile technologies interest him. He got his first email in 1993, and created his first website in 1994. Human management to inspire people to go further and overcome obstacles is his focus. He believes that UX design method centred around data and users is the key to success for digital projects.

After five years in Morocco at a web agency and ISP (with UNICEF, USAID, and Wafa Assurance as clients) he decided to move to France.

He’s worked with big digital brands in France: after 5 years with lastminute.com where he managed the design and UX team, he founded the UX team at voyages-sncf.com (now SNCF Connect) in 2009. In 2014 he worked with SoLocal group as UX director and managed the responsive redesign for Yellow Pages (Pages Jaunes).

Alexandra Bornot

SEO & SEA Manager

Alexandra has a professional degree in Web Marketing, obtaining solid skills in development and optimisation of websites, web design and digital communication. At the end of her studies she founded her own SEO business to help local and national companies develop their commercial activity.

Equally comfortable with technology and marketing, after 6 years as an SEO/SEA consultant, Alexandra joined forces with Zooka. This enabled an approach to clients with more complex needs and objectives, particularly international clients.

You will also appreciate her talents in organisation, which are nourished by two of her other passions: big events and music, during meetings and Zooka’s private events.

Candice Charlieux

SEO Consultant

Candice has a professional degree in digital communication. Her different experiences in the public, private and voluntary sector allowed her to discover the field across the spectrum.

She crossed paths with Zooka in 2018, initially working as a freelance on bespoke missions. Her strengths are independence, rapid response, and being well organised.

After one year working for Zooka as an independent, she officially joined the agency. Always curious and up for a challenge, she works hard to perfect her knowledge on SEO while bringing her rich experience in digital communication to the team.

Her winning formula to find inspiration is: a metal classic in her headphones and a strong dose of coffee!

Mélène Dumont Traffic Manager chez Zooka

Mélène Dumont

Traffic Manager

Part of generation Z, born with a phone in her hands, Mélène grew up in the digital era. She was 18 months old when she discovered Internet on the family computer.

After passing her BTS Tourism with a multimedia speciality, she changed track with the affects of the COVID-19 pandemic. She signed up for a professional degree in digital communication and developed a taste for SEO. Convinced that the future is digital, she joined Zooka when she passed her degree.

She’s a globetrotter and admires famous British groups from which she draws inspiration. In between moments stroking her cat, she explores social networks.

Outside of work, it’s not unknown to hear her humming songs from the 1980s while she expresses her day’s feelings through creative make-up application.

Aurélie Baliry Responsable UX

Aurélie Baliry

UX Manager

Aurélie has a professional degree in UX Design, which gained her solid skills in research and conception based upon human-centric principles.

This product and service design approach focuses on people’s so-called “natural” needs and behaviours, and she keeps that in mind when she takes on each project that she gets involved in.

She started her journey with start-ups and also larger organisations like the Red Cross and the SNCF as a UX consultant for a computing service company, for around five years. During that time she put her empathy and understanding of people to good use, to propose simple and accessible solutions which met client needs both in research and in product development.

During the day UX designer, at night she’s queen of the roller disco… it could be that simple but in fact her guilty pleasure is finding all sorts of things, each the more interesting than the last.

After work you’ll most often find her playing Ukulele tunes, drawing up a DIY project, dressmaking or crafting, on an interior design blog or testing new recipes.

Lamia Mamlouk

UX Design / UX Research Consultant

Lamia was fascinated by computers ever since she saw her father typing on the first ZX Spectrum. She dipped into many programming languages and dreamt of being a developer. In 2001 she left her native Tunisia’s sun and came to France to quench her passion for digital.

During her e-Business masters degree (finishing top of her year) she quickly got into CRO and interface optimisation. She specialised in HCI and then did a PhD in Marketing dedicated to conversion and engagement mechanisms in the digital realm.

Lamia considers UX to be an integral part of Marketing, and thinks that experience design mastery is the cornerstone of all product and service design success.
